Our Story
Established in 2000, The Bolt Shop has been supplying quality fasteners and engineering products to customers across Auckland for more than 25 years. Our original Glenfield store on Archers Road remains our flagship location, where you'll still find many of the familiar faces who have been with us since the beginning, alongside the next generation of knowledgeable team members.
As demand for our products and expertise grew, we expanded with a second location at 23 Ash Road, Wiri, allowing us to better serve customers throughout South Auckland. Led by Managing Director Geoff Smith, our experienced team brings decades of knowledge in the fastening and engineering industries. Whether you're tackling a straightforward repair or a complex engineering project, we're always happy to provide practical advice, technical expertise and solutions to even the toughest fastening challenges.
Our stores stock an extensive range of fasteners, including many specialised nuts, bolts, screws and fixings that are difficult to source elsewhere. With more than 2.7 million items in stock at any given time, there's an excellent chance we'll have exactly what you need, ready when you need it.
Meet Our Glenfield Team
Our Glenfield store is home to a friendly, knowledgeable team dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. Sandra is often the first person to welcome you through the door with a friendly smile and a willingness to help. Geoff Smith, one of our Directors and Managing Director, is frequently on the shop floor working directly with customers and helping solve technical fastening challenges. John Storr, Director and General Manager, provides expert technical support to customers, engineers, designers and specifiers, ensuring every project has the right fastening solution. Louise keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, providing administration and office support. If you call our Glenfield store, there's a good chance Louise will answer the phone and connect you with the right team member. Our field representatives, Ben and Sarah, spend much of their time visiting customers and assisting with on-site projects, but you'll often find them in-store as well, ready to offer advice and product recommendations.

Meet Our Wiri Team
Our Wiri branch proudly serves customers throughout South Auckland with the same commitment to expert advice and outstanding service. Malcolm is one of the friendly faces you'll meet in-store. His product knowledge and ability to ask the right questions ensure customers leave with the correct fastening solution every time. Jared began his career with The Bolt Shop at our Glenfield branch, where he was personally trained by Geoff and John before taking responsibility for establishing and managing our Wiri operation during its early growth. As demand increased, Malcolm joined the team to support the busy branch, allowing Jared to spend more time visiting customers and assisting with projects throughout South Auckland.
